Spring is in full bloom here at CCES! Not only is April "National Poetry Month", but it is also time for the 5th graders to immerse themselves in reading and writing and creating poetry.
There's just something about April that awakens creativity and the soul. As William Shakespeare said, "April hath put a spirit of youth in everything". We took advantage of that spirit and took our creativity outside to share our poetry with the CCES community.
The poems ranged from topics about nature, animals, family members, and favorite holidays. One thing was certain, a spirit of youth was alive and well on this beautiful Spring day in South Carolina.
